We went to a fancy church for Mass in Charles Town, West Virginia. It was called St. James and they had a really fun park where we played after. I didn’t need anyone to push me on the swing. I pumped!
We went to Antietam (an-tee-tum) battlefield from the Civil War. The battlefield was plain grass with some fences. There were hills and it was a huge field. You had to drive around it. There were lots of monuments.
We climbed a very tall tower with lots of stairs. We saw mom from the tower. She was feeding Luke.
We saw the famous Burnside Bridge but we couldn’t walk on it because they were doing conservation. It is named after General Ambrose Burnside who crossed it in the battle. Daddy and Mike’s middle name is Ambrose!
While we were there, Mike and I did the Junior Ranger program. We got badges when we finished learning about the battle and we both got hats at the gift store.
When we got to the hotel, we watched a movie called Home Alone. It was funny. Then we went swimming. It was FREEZING!! After we had a warm shower, I felt better.
I stayed up extra-late blogging.
I can’t wait for day four!
